Located on a quiet back street this home is cosy in the winter thanks to the fireplace and in summer open the doors to let the air flow. The lounge has great couches and a flat-screen TV and enjoy the open plan kitchen, large dining and living space with views of the garden and estuary.
Lots of outdoor space with decks both at the entrance and rear. Perfect for outdoor entertaining and dining.
Just a short drive to Paku Mountain and Ocean Beach.
Your holiday world:
Tairua is about 2 hours from Auckland, Tauranga or Hamilton, and in summer it’s a bustling little town but the rest of the year it’s very laid-back. If you enjoy walking or hiking there are many trails you can do depending on your ability. A walk-up Mt Paku will provide some stunning views and is well worth the walk. Take a day trip to Whangamata or Whitianga or just stay around town. There is a fantastic surf beach. If you enjoy a spot of fishing you could throw in your surf caster, or just grab a surfboard and enjoy the water. If you prefer a slower pace you could wander through town and check out the eclectic mix of shops. If you are lucky enough to be here on the first of the month you could meander around the markets. For any golfers out there Tairua has an 18-hole golf course with clubhouse, bowling green and a restaurant. Tairua also has public tennis courts. These are free to use, just bring along your own gear. Next door is an exercise area and a basketball court so there is plenty to do for those active relaxers. If you prefer a slower paced holiday then a day at the beach cannot be beaten.
