This beautiful three-bedroom plus garage bunk room, three-bathroom Matarangi holiday home is a modern design located on the edge of the reserve before the beach, with views of the sea and the reserve in front. Perfect for 6 adults and up to 4 children.
The flooring at this Matarangi holiday home is polished concrete with rugs, the window coverings are venetian blinds. Two bedrooms are upstairs, each has a queen-sized bed, and both have ensuite bathrooms with a shower, vanity, and toilet.
The downstairs bedroom has a double sofa bed, and the garage room has 2 sets of bunks
The open plan lounge/dining/ living areas have an open fireplace and opens out to the glorious views of the water
The dining table extends to seat 10 with modern design molded chairs.
The kitchen has stainless steel and manufactured stone bench tops, a gas hob, under bench oven, 70/30 extra-wide fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, espresso machine, oven and all the items in the kitchen you need
The main bathroom is downstairs and has a shower, vanity, toilet.
The laundry has an automatic washing machine and tumble drier.
Outdoor furnishings include table & chairs, lounge chairs, shade sails and a gas barbeque. There are decks at the front and on the side patio area.

Matarangi has one of the safest beaches on the peninsula. Enjoy a day relaxing on the beach, you can swim, body surf, and even throw a fishing line out. You can take a walk or a ride on the walkways and tracks around the village, head to Rings Beach, ride or walk the 8km track or walk along the Matarangi Beach and Spit track. Matarangi has a beautiful 18-hole golf course with club rooms and a restaurant. Every Saturday there is a village market so take a wander through and buy some local produce and chat with the locals. The market is located near the 4 Square Supermarket.
If you happen to be staying in Matarangi in April, then you should try “A Taste of Matarangi” a festival where you will be able to try local food and wine and enjoy some great local music.
Take a drive to Whangapoua Beach which is the gateway to the undisturbed beauty of New Chums Beach a stunning beach only accessible by boat, or by foot at low tide. This beach is rated one of the top beaches in the world!
Matarangi has several tennis courts available to the public and they are free to use, just bring your tennis gear.
The boat ramp is easily accessed so take the boat and cruise out to the beautiful Great Mercury Island to enjoy a swim in the clear waters, or head out for a fish or a dive. There are some great spots to find a crayfish for dinner.
Whitianga is about 30 minutes away and is home to “The Lost Springs”. You can unwind in the thermal pools nestled in a tropical setting offering a serene way to spend the afternoon. There are also restaurant and spa facilities available for your enjoyment.
