Hosts on the Coast Views from the Top

House - Cooks Beach

Your holiday home:

Views from the Top is the most perfect name for this holiday home! The ocean views from the deck, lounge, and dining area are amazing! The driveway is a bit steep but when you get to the top you will be blown away! The home has 2 bedrooms, the master has a queen bed, and the 2nd bedroom has a single bed and a set of bunks. There is 1 bathroom with a shower and there is a separate toilet.
There is a good-sized well-equipped kitchen with all the necessities you will need to cook up your favourite holiday meals. The lounge has comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV, but who needs that when you have a great view from your sofa? From the lounge, you can head out to the deck and enjoy sunny afternoons with a cold drink and nibbles, a great place to relax and unwind. There is a BBQ available to use on the deck as well. The dining table has room for 6, a good option when it’s a bit chilly to sit and eat outside. The home has heaters if you need them. The bach is set on a hill and surrounded by native bush. It is not fenced. It is on a water tank supply and a septic tank, so a gentle reminder to be aware of water usage.
“Views from the Top” is a short drive to Cooks Beach where there are some great eateries and of course the beach.

So if you love a room with a view when you are on holiday, then book Views from the Top, you’ll be pleased you did!

Your holiday world:

Purangi is a short drive to Cooks Beach which has Shakespeare Cliff to the west and sheltered Purangi Estuary to the east. Take a walk up Shakespeare Cliff the views are some of the most beautiful you will see. You can also walk down to the beautiful Lonely Bay with its large limestone boulders and white sands, it’s a photographer’s dream. Cooks Beach itself is perfect for a morning stroll and swimming. The beach is not patrolled by Surf Lifesavers so always watch the conditions. You can launch the boat from the Estuary end of the beach, just watch the tides. Cooks Beach has a convenience store and some great eateries. And of course, on the way to Cooks Beach, there are 2 wineries to check out!
Not too far away is Ferry Landing which has Australasia’s oldest stone wall wharf built in 1837, from there you can catch the passenger ferry to Whitianga.
You are also a short drive away from Hahei where when conditions allow, you can walk the track to the world-renowned Cathedral Cove, the walk takes about 40-45 minutes. If you’re not up to the walk you can catch the Water Taxi from Hahei Beach. Also not too far away is Hot Water Beach, where at low tide you can dig a hole and sit in your own little hot pool. Spades can be hired from the local shop.
Cooks Beach is a hidden gem and not to be missed on your Coromandel experience!
