Oarsome in Onemana is a wonderful family bach with living areas over two storeys, there is plenty of room for extended family to stay. The master bedroom has a queen bed, access to the deck area and an ensuite with heated towel rail. Bedroom two has two single beds, bedroom three has a queen bed and the last bedroom also has a queen bed and an ensuite. There is a third bathroom with a bath and a separate toilet. On the lower level, there is a separate lounge area with couches a television and access to a deck area.
The lounge, and kitchen areas are warm and cosy with comfortable couches, a smart, flat-screen TV and a fireplace for those chilly wintery evenings. You also have access to the large deck area with couches, an outdoor table and chairs, a swinging chair and the BBQ. What a fantastic spot to relax and unwind in while making the most of the stunning views out to The Alderman Islands.
The dining table has seating for 6, and the kitchen has everything you need for your stay. Wi-Fi is included, and with parking for a car and boat, there’s no need to leave the toys at home. Guests are also welcome to use the washing machine.

Your holiday world:

Onemana is a short drive to Whangamata and is a small coastal village well worth a visit. There a several walking trails in and around Onemana, there are 4 reserves to wander through and some have seats dotted along the track which gives you great views of the water. There is a coastal track down the peninsula that takes you to Octopus Bay plus 3 other stunning bays. The beach is a great beach for surfing and swimming and is patrolled by lifeguards throughout the summer months. Fishermen can also spend a couple of hours dropping in a line either from the beach or from the rocks at the southern end of the beach. If you bought the boat, then you will be able to launch from the boat ramp in Whangamata.
During summer the Surf Club runs training sessions for kids aged 5-11 who want to learn a bit about surf lifesaving. If you enjoy a round of golf, then cruise to one of two golf courses in Whangamata there is an 18-hole course and a 9-hole course. Head to Onemana Park where there is a children’s playground and tennis courts. The Boatshed is great for a spot of lunch or dinner there is also a dairy for any basic items you might need or the all-important ice cream!
If you are heading to the Beach Hop in March, then Onemana is a great option as a place to stay.
