House - Whitianga Waikato

Your holiday home:

For those of you who like something a little bit different and a bit off the beaten track, why don’t you check out Manuka Cabin a lockwood-style house on Moewai Road in Whitianga? The driveway is gravel and you will need to cross a fjord to get to the house, but this is all part of the adventure!
The cabin is nestled in the bush and surrounded by Manuka trees it also has great views over Whitianga township and out over the water, it’s a great spot for nature lovers. Imagine enjoying your morning coffee surrounded by nature and listening to birdsong and spotting a cow or two. What a great way to start your day!
The cabin has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the master has a king bed and an ensuite. The kitchen is rustic but has everything you need during your stay, including a dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and dryer available.
The lounge and dining is a large open space that you can nestle up in and enjoy the panoramic views.  make the most of the summer breeze and open the large doors that lead onto the wrap-around deck and enjoy the indoor/outdoor flow. Enjoy your dinner alfresco, and after dinner have a couple of drinks and enjoy star gazing.
There is parking for multiple cars but please be aware the driveway is a steep gravel road.
Even though you may feel like you are a little way out of the main centre it’s a short 5-minute drive to town.
So for your next holiday that’s a little different book Manuka Cabin today!

Your holiday world:

Whitianga is a popular holiday destination located on the Coromandel Peninsula. It is the gateway to some amazing beaches and scenery. Wandering the shops is a good start and if you get a bit peckish head to one of many delightful eateries whether it’s a pie and donut, or a sit-down lunch with a cold beverage. There are plenty of options. There is plenty to do for the kids as well with mini golf, movies, an awesome skatepark and kids’ playground, and of course, there is the Mercury Bay Museum. For adults, a trip to the Lost Springs Thermal Spa and Hot Pools is a great way to spend a couple of hours relaxing in tropical surroundings. If you make your way to the wharf you can catch the passenger ferry to Ferry Landing & take a walk over to Front Beach. Tour boats also leave from the wharf which can show you around the area and stop close to Cathedral Cove within the Marine Reserve, watch the fish, go for a snorkel, or take a cave tour. If fishing is your idea of a good time, there are plenty of Charters that can take you out. Or you could take a drive out to Hahei. From here you can take the 40-minute walk to world-renowned Cathedral Cove, or you can head to the beach where there is a water taxi that can take you. Hot Water Beach is not to be missed. At low tide dig a hole and you will have your own hot pool! Spades can be hired from the local store.
