Your holiday world

Whitianga is a popular holiday destination located on the Coromandel Peninsula. It is the gateway to some amazing beaches and scenery. Wandering the shops is a good start and if you get a bit peckish head to one of the many delightful eateries whether it’s a pie and donut, or a sit-down lunch with a cold beverage there are plenty of options. There is plenty to do for the kids as well with mini golf, movies, an awesome skatepark and kids’ playground, and of course there is the Mercury Bay Museum. For the adults a trip to the Lost Springs Thermal Hot Springs is a great way to while away a couple of hours relaxing in tropical surrounds. If you make your way to the wharf, you can catch the passenger ferry to Ferry Landing and take a walk over to Front Beach. Tour boats also leave from the wharf which can show you around the area and stop off at Cathedral Cove Marine Reserve, watch the fish or go for a snorkel, or take a cave tour. If fishing is your idea of a good time, there are plenty of Charters that can take you out. Or you could take a drive out to Hahei or Hot Water Beach and stop off in Cooks Beach along the way. There are wineries and breweries to stop off at to stretch the legs!
