House - Waihi

Your holiday home:

This cute cosy beach house is nestled in Waihi Beach located on a quiet street. The home is modern and comfortable. There are three bedrooms two of which have queen beds, and the third has two sets of bunk beds, however, the top bunks are suitable for children only. All bedrooms have ceiling fans to keep you cool in summer. There are two bathrooms both have heated towel rails, toilets, showers, and basins. The lounge area has comfortable seating with a heat pump and fireplace so even winter getaways can be amazing! To keep you entertained on rainy days there is a smart TV with Freeview. There is a small dining table in this space which is close to the modern and spacious kitchen with all the mod cons, gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. From the lounge, you can head to the deck where you can laze the day away soaking in the sun. The BBQ is available to use so test your steak cooking ability, grab a chair and a cold drink and chill. The laundry has a washing machine, dryer and a laundry tub. There is also a second fridge freezer if needed. The section at the back is fully fenced and there is an outdoor shower, so after a day on the beach, you can rinse off those sandy bodies. There is parking for two vehicles at the front of the property. Sandy Retreat is waiting for you and your family or friends to enjoy some great holiday adventures and make some amazing memories. With so much to do in Waihi Beach, you will want to come back.

Your holiday world:

Waihi Beach is a popular spot with boutique shops and eateries, the beach is very safe for surfing, swimming, or fishing. If you feel like a walk then there are coastal trails to Orokawa Bay, Humunga Bay and Anzac Bay, along the way you will see waterfalls, headlands and historical sites. Waihi is famous for Gold Mining, so why not head to the Wahi Discovery Centre for some insight into the gold era, or have a nosy at the Waihi Arts Centre & Museum?
If you want to keep the kids entertained why not try the Goldfields Railway & Hauraki trail? Take a train ride and explore the Karangahake Gorge.
For those of you who enjoy the arts take a look at the Waikino Victoria Battery & Mosaic Garden. The Waihi Lavender Farm is close by as well.
If you enjoy a round of golf, then pack your clubs as Waihi has a beautifully maintained golf course. For the boaties there are several ramps available, however, the safest one to use is at the Bowentown Boating & Sport Fishing Club. The southern-most ramp is open to non-members and there is a charge to use the ramp. Please check the current pricing. The 2 other ramps that are available are sandy and can be quite soft, so smaller vessels are best launched from here i.e. jet skis.

Close by there is a fish and chip shop or try the Surf shop for breakfast or brunch. This is about 5 minutes from the bach.
